December 2021 President's Message
Dear Members,
I want to wish all of you a happy holiday. May 2022 be a better year for all of you.
2021 was a very good year for NYSICA. We managed to offer membership meetings throughout the year and held a virtual fall and spring conference. I want to thank all of you for taking time to attend our events. I also want to thank all the presenters who volunteered their time to share their knowledge and expertise with us. I extend a special thank you to the Board who worked tirelessly on the meetings and conferences. They are truly amazing people!
As we enter 2022, we will be preparing our slate of officers. If you are interested in joining the NYSICA Board, let us know. If you would like to be a presenter, let us know. If you do not want to join the board, and simply want to volunteer, let us know.
We will be planning the 2022 calendar soon. Check our website for upcoming events.
As I prepare to end my presidency, I want to thank all of you for your support. It has been an enjoyable experience leading this organization for two years. I have certainly learned a great deal. I will remain on the board and Thomas VerGow will assume the presidency in May 2022. I hope you will give him your full support.
If there is anything we can do better, drop us a line. We strive to continue offering you training that you can use in your daily work.
Best Regards,
Dora Diaz-Crowe

DeCEMBER 2020 PRESIDENT's MESSAGE
Dear NYSICA Members,
I want to take this opportunity to wish you and your family happy holidays. We all know 2020 has been a challenging year. It has tested our mettle! Hopefully, the worst is far behind us. Let us hope that 2021 will bring much needed relief and that we are able to get back some sense of normalcy.
Thank you for supporting NYSICA this year. Our October Membership meeting and Fall Conference were well attended, I appreciate your feedback on what we did right and what we need to work on. This organization would not exist if you were not members.
In 2021, we plan to resume our monthly meetings starting in February. Our Board will be planning the 2021 Spring Conference which will be held, on May 13, at the Albany Capital Center. Given the COVID restrictions, we are limited to the number of people who may attend the live event, but we will also offer the conference virtually so that anyone who wishes to attend may do so. Check your emails for upcoming announcements. You can also check our website for more information. If you are not receiving NYSICA emails, send us a notification through our Contact Us link.
